Personal Statement

My name is Tiftiany Octavia, I come from the city of Tangerang, Banten. I am student at Bina Nusantara University and has fourth semester. I majored in English Literature faculty of Humanities and take streaming English for Business Professional. I took English Literature because I like to learn English since I was in Elementary School and I want to speak English well. At the beginning of the English language course, I'm not too interest, but, after some time I follow the course of the English lesson, I was interested to learn English properly and seriously, that's when I started to love the English language. The reason I took business streaming because I want to have a great business in the future. Currently I already have a small business, I make a decoration on cakes and cupcakes for a birthday, anniversary, or anything. Namely cake topper and cupcake topper. I opened this business since the last November 2016 and it comes from my own ideas and initiatives. In senior high school I majored in science, I had been a member of the flag raisers troops heritage in high school, I like it because its activities are not boring and I want to create something new in my life or make a new experience for me.

In college, I learned a lot about how to do business and market our business properly. I add knowledge to my own business. Major in English Literature, it is not only about how to speak English correctly, but also taught a variety of things, for example, good pronunciation, discussing the psychology, discusses how to write a good poetry, history and culture about English, learn about taking some design software in the second semesters, like Adobe illustrator and InDesign.

After graduate, I will use my knowledge both in English and business for my future. I will make the business that related to my ability, for example, English language courses. Other than that, I also want to work in good company because my business is a side job. A lot of experience that I learned at Binus University as English literature student, I will use my knowledge in the best possible future.
